This course is aimed at those wishing to gain a good understanding of dog grooming and the basic knowledge which is required to succeed in the dog grooming industry. It will allow individuals to work as an assistant in a salon environment. The Level 2 Qualification is also now an entry requirement for those students looking to complete the level 3 qualification.

This course is the first step towards completing your City and Guilds dog grooming qualifications. However, we do also offer dog grooming taster sessions so you can ensure this is the career for you before taking the first step into a formal qualification with us.
The course is now assessed through a range of assessments, assignments and exams which are all completed during the course. The course is an intensive learning experience so students will be required to complete assignments and research in their own time. You will be assessed on your practical skills and ability throughout the course. This course will then provide you with a solid base of understanding to enable students to move onto the Level 3 training.

City & Guilds requires 183-guided learning hours to complete the training. Our course is 10 days of practical learning in our academy salon as well as distance learning.
